About Us
The School Of Transformational Leadership
Transformational leadership is a re-introduced concept gaining momentum in contemporary society today because it affects a cultural change in a society or organization. Although it has been around for a long time, many people do not know what it is and how to identify it in practice. It became popular in the 1970s by James McGregor Burns when he attempted to contrast its significance with transactional leadership.
Transformational leaders don’t just move people toward a worthy cause, but they cause an actual change in how things have been in a society or organization over a period of time. Which is why at SOTL our curriculum is curated to take you through a personal transformative leadership journey. These courses are designed with you in mind to help you elevate your leadership skills to the next level.
Be the change you want to see in the world

Our Story
Dr. Olusegun Osineye’s passion for Africa became an everyday affair in 1998 after an inspiring sermon he heard from one of his mentors who used the biblical text from Isaiah 6 vs 1-4 which reads, “and they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolation, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.” This gave him a newfound purpose. This was already a burning obsession for the entire black race’s flourishing but it began as a wake-up call for him, a stirring ambition to articulate roadmaps for nation building in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The task began as a daunting one – a huge elephant that requires the collaboration of others to achieve. Immediately, Dr. Olusegun Osineye shared his dream and passion with his very good friend Kunle Banwo, who has been a long-time friend of Dr. Olusegun Osineye since 1997 and was also a secondary school classmate from 1989-1994.
Kunle has been resourceful to our own organization by leading training sessions and providing training materials. They both masterminded the birth of our two organizations, Africana Leadership Digest and the School of Transformational Leadership, during approximately six (6) hours of collaborative sessions. Kunle is a valued partner of our organization and he’s expected to continue to be of tremendous help towards our transformational goals across Africa.
We have expanded our faculty since our founding with influential figures in various leading industries to further our goal of bringing transformational changes across Africa.
